I joined in on the 40/40 Challenge for the season of Lent, and I've done it although some days it's 10 minutes here and there at the office. With the door closed.
A year (or maybe two) ago I tried to come up with a reward system for myself. It didn't last, but now that I'm being accountable to Blog World I'm going to resurrect it. I'm a girly girl and I love clothing and shoes and jewelry. So I have this charm bracelet from Swarovski. (I think this is the one but the 6 3/4 inch length can't possible be right because what adult has a wrist that small?) I currently have only two charms, and I've decided that for every 10 pounds I lose I'll buy a new charm.
My charms (I don't think they're still available because I bought them so long ago.) |
I think my next purchase will be this Crystal Double Star charm. Let's see if I can get my ass in gear and buy it soon!

Get it! Another week of stair climbing for the 40/40 for me, but I've ordered another Jillian DVD to do at home to mix in with my walking ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get back to the gym next week for my zumbas.
When they are a hard-fought 2 pounds, I suggest you celebrate in ounces. 32!!!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl.
Ha, ha! I love this, Candy!
DeleteAwesome job Gila with your 2 lb lost!!! I'm stopping over from the Monthly Measures link-up! My rule of thumb is to not get caught up in the numbers but take into account how my clothes fit, like you've said. Today, I'm gonna take my 'measurements' (bust, hips, waist) in addition to my weight to get an overall look at my progress. I think it maybe a better approach. Very cute charm bracelet. Thanks for posting to the link-up!

DeleteProgress is progress no matter the amount! I like how you're incorporating a reward system for yourself. I think that would help to motivate me a bit as well! Now it's just a matter of figuring out what I want bad enough to work out for, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the inspiration, Gwen! And thanks for linking up, it means a lot :)!!!
The charm idea is brilliant, Gwen!
