Alarm goes off at 6:30. I hit snooze, but Aaron usually gets up (if he's not already up) and makes coffee and feeds the cats. I roll out of bed between 7:00 and 7:30-ish, depending on if I'm washing my hair or not.
Usually the first thing I notice is how crazy the cats got with the upstairs rug. This was today:
I have coffee, make myself
There's not a chance in hell I'm showing you my office. It's a disaster area and people have been known to go in there and never come out. On the one hand, I should do something about that, but then it might look like I have nothing to do (not true). I'll make it a goal to tidy that shit up before I leave for vacation in 3 weeks. It will probably take me that long.
I do have a window, even though my back is to it. So here's the view:
I usually eat lunch around 1:00 with my friend/coworker Kendra. We've been trying to be very good this year and bring our lunches instead of going to Chipotle once (OK, twice) a week. But it's right across the street!
On a normal day I leave work at 5:30 and sometimes
If I'm really lucky I might get a visit from this handsome dude (the token child in the 'hood):
If it's a choir rehearsal night, we go there; if not, I either do some work for my side bookkeeping business, blog, watch TV, get in some exercise WHILE watching TV... Actually I do most everything I can while watching TV. Multitasking, people. But now that the weather is nice, I try to spend some time on the screened porch doing perhaps one of these two things:
So there you have it. A typically thrilling day in my life right now!
I always want to do this on a weekday, but I always forget.
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up over the rug!!!
ReplyDeleteA 10 minute commute? Amazeballs!
I am thrilled to see the token neighborhood child wearing a helmet. Kudos to his parents
I would love a 10 minute commute. Looks like you are non stop in your day .
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of all of your views! So pretty out of every window! And a 10 minute commute? Hate!!
ReplyDeleteNow I really want to see what your office looks like! Haha... And I know what you mean about trying not to spend your whole paycheck at Target. They always have just what I "need", even though I didn't know I needed it until I walked into the store. :)
