Random Gwensday: In Praise of Spring (Finally!)

It's getting cliché in these parts to keep going on and on about the long-awaited arrival of spring. The saying goes there will be "three snows after the forsythia blooms" and I've yet to see any forsythia, so that's a little disconcerting. (UPDATE: later in the day I actually saw some forsythia!)
But yesterday around 1:15 I ventured outside to soak up some of the sun and 75 degree wonderfulness.

I went to the top of the parking garage to get as close as possible to the sun and sky.

Lilac tree outside the door to the parking garage. I love the all-too-brief period of time in which I can smell the lilacs as I arrive at and - more importantly - depart from the office.

And since I haven't posted a picture of any cats in at least two days, here are Clover and Señor Gato Negro in their current favorite morning spots.

They're like bookends, y'all.

Today we may hit 80. Seems like a good day for my Sunny Day Playlist!

  3. I am so happy it's getting warm. I refuse to think about the fact that it might just be a phase!
